This Privacy Policy is designed to provide data subjects information on the processing of their personal data when they (1) visit our website https://avride.ai (“Website”); or (2) interact with AVRIDE autonomous vehicles or personal delivery devices (each of them collectively referred to as “Services”).
The Privacy Policy is based on the provisions of data protection laws, which may be applicable in the country of your residence. Terms and definitions in the Privacy Policy shall have meaning that is given to them in applicable data protection laws.
01. Data controller
The data controller with regard to personal data processed under this Policy is AVRIDE Inc. or its affiliated companies located worldwide (each of them collectively referred to as “AVRIDE” or “we”).

02. Purposes and legal bases for processing
Under this Privacy Policy, AVRIDE processes personal data to:
- ensure smooth operation of the Website;
- inform website visitors about AVRIDE activities;
- communicate with data subjects regarding their requests or sending them marketing and/or informational materials;
- improve safety and efficiency of our Services in the traffic and for AI training;
- enable the Services to navigate in surrounding space, locate obstacles on their way, avoid collisions with moving objects;
- ensure the safety and security of individuals (e.g., passengers, operators) and to protect AVRIDE property (including intellectual property);
- support product integrity (e.g., detecting tampering) and loss prevention; review incidents and, where necessary, undertake investigations and/or implement disciplinary procedures;
- comply with applicable laws and protect its legal rights.
When doing so, AVRIDE relies on
- the necessity of the processing for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract;
- the necessity of the processing of personal data to comply with its legal obligations;
- the necessity of the processing of personal data for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by AVRIDE;
- consent of a data subject to process his or her personal data.
Please note that direct marketing communications with you shall be made only upon your prior opt-in consent, and you will have an opportunity to opt-out at any time using the "unsubscribe" button in messages you receive from us.
We do not process your personal data for other purposes that are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

Under this Policy, AVRIDE processes the following categories of personal data:
Personal data collected directly from the data subject on the website
Certain information may be provided by you while interacting with the Website (e.g. in the feedback forms). This may include:
- full name;
- email address;
- other information voluntarily provided by the data subject in feedback forms on the Website.
Personal data collected automatically on the Website
Certain information is collected automatically when you interact with the Website, such as device's internet protocol address, browser type, browser version, type and device ID, geographical location based on the IP address, statistics on page views and time spent on pages, log files, information obtained through cookies or similar technologies.
Personal data collected by autonomous vehicles or personal delivery devices
Our autonomous vehicles or personal delivery devices are equipped with sensors and cameras. While moving in traffic an autonomous vehicle or personal delivery device might capture images of passers-by as well as license plates of other vehicles. When the autonomous vehicle or personal delivery device is operating, the movement parameters can be monitored by a remote operator who has access to real-time video from the autonomous vehicles' or personal delivery devices’ cameras. Such monitoring is not permanent, since the remote operator is connected to the monitoring of the autonomous vehicles or personal delivery devices in case of problems / interference in the process of movement. Additionally, all personal data collected by autonomous vehicles or personal delivery devices shall be subject to (1) of low-resolution quality or (2) subject to obfuscation measures.
Personal data collected by in-vehicle cameras and microphones
Our vehicles are equipped with in-vehicle cameras and microphones to monitor the interior cabin. When the vehicle systems are active, we may collect and process images, video recordings, and audio recordings that may capture identifiable data, including but not limited to recognizable faces, voices, and activities conducted within the vehicle.
04. Recipients of personal data
We may disclose certain personal data to the following recipients to the extent required or permitted by applicable law and/or based on our legitimate interests.
More specifically:
- Affiliate Entities: Companies that are part of the same corporate group as AVRIDE and are involved in operating business activities or providing our Services, including support and technical maintenance.
- Third-Party Service Providers: Vendors that assist us in facilitating or evaluating our Services, such as providers of IT service management (ITSM), customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), deployment management, billing systems, legal advisors, accountants, and payment processing services necessary for administering AVRIDE’s business processes.
- Public Authorities: Various government agencies or regulatory bodies, but only when strictly necessary to fulfill our legal obligations or to respond to law enforcement orders and requests.
- Other Third Parties: Entities needed to enforce our Terms and Conditions and to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property.
- Business Transitions: In the event that AVRIDE undergoes a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or part of its assets, your personal data may be among the assets transferred. Any such transfer will be subject to restrictions similar to those outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable laws and regulations.
05. Transfers to third countries
AVRIDE may transfer personal data to countries where its affiliated entities, partners, and Third Party Service Providers are located. Some of these countries do not provide for a sufficient level of protection of data subjects’ rights under the applicable data protection laws. If this is the case, AVRIDE employs necessary measures in order to ensure lawfulness of such transfer.

06. Storage periods
We will retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Non-personally information may be retained and used by AVRIDE without limitation.

The Website may contain links to third party websites and services, which are outside AVRIDE control and are not covered by this Privacy Policy. AVRIDE is not responsible for the privacy practices of such websites and services and encourages you to review their privacy notices.
08. Safeguards to protect your information
We take great care in implementing and maintaining reasonable and appropriate security procedures consistent with prevailing industry standards to protect your personal data.
While we take reasonable precautions against possible security breaches, no website or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee (i) that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches shall never occur; and (ii) the security of your data; any transmission is at your own risk. AVRIDE urges you to take steps to keep your personal data safe, including your account password, and your authorizations.
09. Rights of data subjects
You have multiple privacy rights, subject to applicable law, with respect to the personal information we process about you, including the following:
Right to Confirm and Access You have the right to confirm whether AVRIDE is processing your personal data. If we are, you have the right to access that personal data.
Right to Correct You have the right to ask AVRIDE to correct inaccuracies in your personal data, considering the nature of the personal data and the purposes of the processing of your personal data.
Right to Delete You have the right to ask AVRIDE to delete personal data provided by or obtained about you. We will comply with your request unless an exception under the applicable law applies (e.g., the data is necessary to complete a transaction, detect security incidents, or comply with a legal obligation).
Right to Opt-Out You have the right to opt out of the processing of your personal data for the purposes of: (1) targeted advertising; (2) the sale of personal data; or (3) profiling in furtherance of a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
Right to Data Portability You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data that you previously provided to AVRIDE in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format that allows you to transmit the data to another controller without hindrance, where the processing is carried out by automated means.

Verification Process: We usually respond to requests within 45 days. We will verify your identity by matching your email address or asking for account verification. If we cannot verify your identity, we may deny the request.
Right to Appeal: If we refuse to take action on your request, you have the right to appeal our decision within a reasonable period of time.

If Appeal is Denied: If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint by visiting: https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection.
10. Withdrawal of consent
Where processing is based on consent (or explicit consent), you have the right to withdraw consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal. To withdraw consent, you can contact AVRIDE using the contact details specified in section 1 of this Privacy Policy.
11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
When provided by applicable laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the area of data protection in the place of your residence.
12. Necessity to provide personal data
We only collect such personal data that is necessary for us to achieve the purposes described in section 2 of the Privacy Policy.
13. Tracking Technologies and cookies
We may use cookies or other automated means to collect data in order to allow Website’s ongoing and proper operation, improve the user experience, collect statistical data and improve our information security. The cookie files allow us to optimize your user experience. You may at any time stop the cookie files activity and erase them. If you do so, it may affect your user experience and, in some cases, prevent you from using the Website.
14. Children's Online Privacy
Our Website and Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. AVRIDE may change this Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion. If so, we may notify you about these changes by an appropriate method.
